- It’s day two of Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Fl. and this morning’s The Last Jedi panel did not disappoint. The panel, which was hosted by Josh Gad–and started by showing his many Instagram posts trying to get Daisy Ridley to tell him details of the film’s plot–gave fans exactly what we wanted: a new teaser trailer for Episode VIII!
The teaser opens with Rey on the island where we last left her, and we hear both Rey’s theme and Luke’s theme and then a voice over:
For those mega fans out there, yes. You did hear “Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi” at Rey’s mention of “light” right before getting a glimpse of General Leia. And yes, that’s Darth Vader’s helmet and Obi-Wan saying, “he was seduced by the dark side of the force” at the mention of “darkness.” And then, the Jedi symbol appears–the star with the lightsaber coming out of it. And yes, chills would be appropriate right now.
All of our favorites are back includes Finn (asleep, probably healing), BB-8 (our life force), and Poe Dameron (swoon).
The teaser ends with Luke’s voice over, “I only know one truth: It’s time for the Jedi to end.”
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!” Is an accurate representation of how we feel right now! Is it December yet?
