Sea Turtle Night Walk

Sea Turtle Night WalkThis summer, you’re invited to behold a natural phenomenon—sea turtles nesting on the sands of Florida’s Treasure Coast. Join us at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort for a guided Sea Turtle Night Walk.

Highlights

Enjoy a fascinating presentation on sea turtles—and then watch the wonders of nature unfold.

The Presentation
Official monitoring scouts will search for sea turtles while you enjoy an interpretive, informative presentation about these majestic reptiles.

The Nesting Experience
Once a nesting turtle has been located, permitted specialists will guide you to the turtle—for an up–close look at the nesting experience. You’ll be provided with night–vision goggles so you can watch the turtle lay her eggs, cover her nest and return to the sea. You’ll also be equipped with a radio earpiece, so you can hear the specialist narrate this up-close experience.

Important Details

  • Program and tour itinerary, content, duration and availability are subject to change without notice.
  • Guests must be ambulatory and have sufficient stamina to walk up to 2 miles in soft sand, and to stay alert as late as 1:00 AM. Families with children should understand that participants must be still when near the nesting turtle.
  • Guests will need to remain with the group at all times and cannot be allowed to return to the Resort without being escorted by a night walk guide.
