New Disney Costumes Rules

New Disney Costumes RulesThe Disney Parks Blog recently announced that even though a new dress code at the park bans costumes worn by guests 14 years and older, an exception will be made for special theme park events, like the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

While adult costumes will now be allowed at special events, there are still a few rules.

According to the blog, “guests ages 14 and older are strongly discouraged from wearing layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body as they may be subject to additional security screening.”

Guests also aren’t allowed to wear any costumes that contain weapons or objects that resemble or could be easily mistaken for weapons, costumes that drag on the ground or headgear that covers the face. Plastic light sabers, fairy wings and toy swords are acceptable attire.
