The Force Awakens Blu-ray Combo Pack is now available for Pre-Order at both Amazon and the Disney Store. We have already ordered our copy since we can always spend $40 at the Disney Store, and we will soon be redecorating our son’s room in a Star Wars theme.

Currently Amazon is listing the Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital HD version for $19.99, which is a pretty good price. An added benefit of pre-ordering with Amazon is that it comes with the “Pre-Order Price Guarantee“. What that means is Amazon will charge the lowest price offered by Amazon.com between the time you placed your order and the end of the day of the release date (April 5, 2016). Basically, you won’t have to watch for sales, you automatically get the lowest price. We have bought a few movies through Amazon this way and we usually end up saving a dollar or two from our original “purchase” price.
The Disney Store
The Disney Store is currently selling the same Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital HD version for $24.95. But for $24.95 you not only get the same movie, but also an Exclusive Lithograph Set PLUS $10 off your next purchase. The fine print on the $10 off a future online purchase is for a purchase of $40.00 or more and is valid from in-home release date through 14 days after in-home release date. So basically, you will have two weeks to use the coupon from the release date of the Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital HD.

Final Verdict
The better deal is to buy the movie from the Disney Store for $24.95 if you plan on spending $40 at the Disney Store within two weeks of the release date. This would mean you would get the movie for essentially $14.95 and you would get the four lithographs as well. If you don’t think you can spend $40 at the Disney Store, then the better deal is to buy the movie from Amazon as soon as possible. You will lock in today’s price, or any future price that may be lower.
