Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort Has Something for Every Holiday Celebration

Are you getting ready for the Holiday season?  Holidays at the Disneyland Resort brings even more opportunities for play, entertainment and holiday shopping to the Downtown Disney District in Anaheim.

Olaf, the summer-loving snowman from, “Frozen,” returns to sunny California to reopen his Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink iDowntown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort Has Something for Every Holiday Celebrationn Downtown Disney District between ESPN Zone and Earl of Sandwich. The custom-designed, 50-by-90-foot rink features colorful “Frozen”-themed décor, holiday and “Frozen”-themed music and the figure of Olaf himself overseeing the fun.

The ice rink will be open Monday through Thursday from 3-10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 2-11 p.m.; and Sunday from 2-10 p.m. Skates and helmets are provided with the admission fee.

As in holidays past at Downtown Disney District, the ice rink is surrounded by the Downtown Disney Winter Village, featuring chalets and carts offering a variety of holiday gift ideas, including Star Wars-themed items from World of Disney; magic, gags and novelties from Houdini’s Magic Shop; yo-yos and juggling kits from Duncan Yo-Yo; crystal art from Arribas Brothers; hot chocolate, snacks and desserts from Ghirardelli; personalized objects from You Name It; surfboard themed art are from Laguna Beach Surfboards; and personalized holiday ornaments from Ice-Land Workshop.  A Working to Give/ACT Anaheim chalet will offer handmade holiday stockings with all proceeds going to Accelerate Change Together.

Downtown Disney District will also have a full lineup of special entertainment offerings for the holidays, including live performances by Holiday Carolers nightly December 4-25 and a 40s Jazz/Pop Vocal Group from December 25 through January 1.  Appearances by Duncan Yo-Yo experts, and the Houdini Magic Shop Show are also on the schedule. Horse & Carriage rides will be offered November 27 through January 2.

Special Downtown Disney District holiday tradition, Tuba Christmas, will take place at noon on Saturday, Dec. 19. No matter how you celebrate, Downtown Disney District will have something for you this holiday season
